Savannah Martin, 7, was unconscious when she was found Feb. 20 floating in a pond in Lawton. Nearby was her brother, Tommy Martin, 2, who was saved by the bicycle helmet that kept his nose and mouth just above water.
Their mother, Beth Martin, 31, is setting up the scholarship at ACI Learning Center in Edmond because her daughter made so much progress at the school.
Beth Martin hopes the fund someday will allow a child to go there who otherwise might not be able to attend.
The private school for autistic children will match the amount raised in Savannah's name, Director Lesley MacPherson said.
