Her son can't get that detailed, but he knows what he likes. His favorite is a painting in his house, with a little kid riding a crocodile. Christine painted it for her grandchildren.
Christine opened an art studio in her hometown and has staged art shows in New York, Chicago and Paris. And now even twice in Oklahoma City, where this cosmopolitan woman is drawn to the American Indian culture.
“She's a great person,” said one of her sons. “Inspired me a lot. She's really spiritual. She's always about me and my two brothers. Everything's about us. She gave up so much for us. She was working two jobs, with my dad not necessarily around.
“It's still like that, even though we're grown up. She's always there for us. The priority is us.”
And so on this fine Sunday morning, a tip of the cap to Christine, who not only chased her dream in her homeland of Switzerland but let sons Christophe, Kgomotso and Thabo chase theirs, too. Happy Mother's Day, to Christine Sefolosha.
