Woman says ex-boyfriend masterminded robbery at pharmacy

The mother of the teen who has been charged with murder in connection with an Oklahoma City robbery attempt said her son and the youth who died were persuaded into robbing the pharmacy by two older men.

"He’s 14 years old, he made a mistake. Everybody deserves a second chance in life,” Natasha Spigner said. "If he wasn’t encouraged with these older guys, he wouldn’t have did what he did.”

Jevontia Ingram was arrested Thursday in connection with the May 19 robbery of Reliable Discount Pharmacy. Spigner said her son and Antwun Parker, 16, who was allegedly shot to death by pharmacist Jerome Jay Ersland, were best friends.
