Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered in Bryan County wreck

A motorcyclist injured in a July 27 wreck has died, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

ACHILLE — A motorcyclist injured in a July 27 wreck has died, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Monday.

Clayton Bailey, 52, of Achille, died Thursday at a hospital in Plano, Texas, troopers said.

Bailey was driving a Harley Davidson west on State Highway 91 just west of Achille in Bryan County when the wreck happened about 6:15 p.m. He ran off the road, hit a steep embankment and was thrown 140 feet, troopers said.

He was taken to the Plano hospital by medical helicopter.
