The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported one fatality accident on Oklahoma roads yesterday evening.
Frances Carter, 35, died after a crash around 5 p.m. in Osage County near Skiatook, troopers said. He was driving his motorcycle eastbound on State Highway 20 when pickup heading southbound on a county road failed to yield at a stop sign and struck his motorcycle.
Carter later died at a Tulsa hospital. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers reported.
A woman passenger on Carter's motorcycle and woman passenger in the pickup were admitted to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition, troopers said. The driver and two other passengers in the pickup were not injured.
There have been 42 fatality accidents on Oklahoma roads so far this May, the patrol reports. Last year during this month there were 66 fatality accidents reported.
So far this year there have been 174 wrecks with fatalities.
