Mourning the loss of Bipinchandra Patel

Regarding “Victim's name released” (News, Dec. 18): About three years ago I became a patient of Dr. Mikio Nihira at the O.U. Physicians in Oklahoma City. I live in Grove and as a retired teacher I found it more convenient to come to Oklahoma City for a two-day visit in order to break up my driving. I found the Oxford Inn to be a home away from home and stayed there many times. Bipinchandra Patel was wonderful to me! I always felt protected and safe and was welcomed every time I needed to stay. He saved my favorite room for me whenever possible. It was “old home” when I arrived. Upon hearing of his needless death, I was shocked! Patel was a nice man and a valued friend. I hope that the death to this asset of the Oklahoma City community on Lincoln Boulevard will be avenged swiftly. I mourn the loss of a very dear and treasured innkeeper!
