Producers Brent Ryan Green and Jeff Goldberg and the Oklahoma Film & Music Office are pleased to announce upcoming production of the feature film “The Veil” in Oklahoma.
“The Veil” will be the feature-length directorial debut of Oklahoma City native Brent Ryan Green, whose production company Toy Gun Films will be associated with the production of the film. “The Veil” was written by Jeff Goldberg, and is being produced by Green and Goldberg. Together, Green and Goldberg have produced four short films under the Toy Gun Films banner, which have gone on to screen at 70 festivals, garnering 33 awards.
Set in a war-torn land where tribal factions live in fear of annihilation, the film tells the story of a deadly warrior who struggles to free himself from the evil he has known in order to join the princess of a foreign tribe in creating a new world together.
Principal photography will commence on the sci-fi adventure film later this month in Oklahoma City and feature many of Oklahoma’s surrounding state parks and natural areas, according to a news release.
“We are very pleased to be working with Oklahoma-based Producer Brent Ryan Green on The Veil,” said Jill Simpson, Director of the Oklahoma Film & Music Office, in the release. “This is another example of how our Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program supports talented Oklahoma filmmakers like Mr. Green.”
“I am elated for my feature film directorial debut, and to be able to do it in my home state is deeply gratifying,” said Green in the release. “With all of the diverse and stunning locations, I plan for the imagery of this film to be a love letter to the state. We are very fortunate to be a part of the rebate program, which makes filming in Oklahoma very desirable.”
“The Veil” will utilize the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by the Oklahoma Film & Music Office.
