MSU player honored by Big Sky

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Montana State forward Jasmine Hommes shares the Big Sky Conference women's basketball player of the week honor with Amanda Frost of Northern Arizona.

Hommes, a sophomore from Lynden, Wash., averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game as Montana State beat Northern Colorado 68-55 and handed North Dakota its first conference loss of the season 76-65.

Hommes scored 18 points in both games. She added 10 rebounds in the upset of North Dakota. In the second half of both games, Hommes combined to make 14 of 17 shots, or 82 percent.

Frost, a senior from Riverside, Calif., averaged 30.3 points and five assists per game as Northern Arizona posted wins over Southern Utah and Portland State while falling to Eastern Washington.
