Muggy, slight chance of rain for election day

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — There is a slight chance for rain on election day in Oklahoma and conditions are expected to be muggy.

National Weather Service meteorologist Scott Curl says the forecast for Tuesday is for about a 20 percent chance of rain from central to northern Oklahoma and a 40 percent chance for areas south of Interstate 40.

Curl says morning temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s and rising to the upper 80s by afternoon. He says conditions will be muggy because of recent rains across the state.

Polls will be open statewide from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. for the Republican and Democratic primaries in the state.
