Muldrow woman dies of crash injuries

MULDROW — A woman who suffered head injuries after the car she was riding in crashed into a tree Saturday has died, officials said.

Lori Fisher, 19, of Muldrow, was riding in a Ford Taurus driven by Terra Hoffman, 20, of Muldrow, when the two ran off the road about 6:30 a.m. Saturday for an unknown reason and struck a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle.

The vehicle was traveling southbound on county road 4760 when it left the road about 2 miles east of Muldrow in Sequoyah County, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Troopers said Fisher was transported to a hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. in critical condition with head, arm and leg injuries. She died about 11:40 p.m. Saturday from her injuries.

Hoffman was also transported to the hospital, where she was treated and released with unknown injuries.
