— The John Arnold Band will kick off this month's Second Friday Circuit of Art event with a free performance at the Santa Fe Depot, 200 S Jones Ave.

The monthly art walk begins at 6 p.m. Friday, with the John Arnold Band set to perform at 7 p.m.

The nature photography of George Williams also will be featured at the depot gallery. Other exhibits are planned for downtown galleries.

A new show, “Tour de Quartz,” will open at Dreamer Concepts Studio and Foundation, 324 E Main St. The exhibit features a selection of artwork created by Oklahoma high school students during the 2012 Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain. An opening reception for the artists begins at 6 p.m.

A collection of 37 photographs celebrating the magnificence of Peruvian horses will be on display at MAINSITE Contemporary Art gallery, 122 E Main. A gallery talk about the “Entre huellas y arenas” exhibit will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by an opening reception at 6 p.m.

The exhibition features the work of two Peruvian artists, Sandra Cannock Grana and Alejandro Iturrizaga. The Peruvian Paso and Arabian horse breeds are highlighted in the work, with each photograph exposing the features and differences between the two.
