NORMAN — In case you missed them, these are a few things that happened in Norman:

Community
Last weekend’s cold temperatures didn’t keep about 15 people from camping outside as part of One Night in a Box, an event that educates teens and adults about homelessness in Norman. The group set up cardboard boxes outside and slept in them. Another 15 people "roughed it” in cardboard boxes set up inside a church gym.

The event, which also included guest speakers and role-playing games about homelessness, was sponsored by Community Action Ministries.

Music
I’m a big fan of Pandora.com. I have the application on my iPhone, which lets me listen to whatever kind of music I’m in the mood for at any given time.

That’s why I was thrilled to learn Norman Music Festival is now one of only eight music festivals featured on the Web site. Norman Music Festival, set for April 25, is featured below the Bonnaroo festival station and next to the Coachella festival station on the Web site. To get a preview of music that will be featured at the festival, go to www.pandora.com/festivals.

Festivals
The Medieval Fair opened Friday at Reaves Park, offering festival goers a chance to be transported to the Middle Ages. Kings, queens, knights in shining armor and people eating giant turkey legs can always be spotted wandering among the craft booths and elephant rides.

If you haven’t made it out to the festival yet, there’s still time.

The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Sunday.
