Music review: James McCartney 'The Complete EP Collection'

Looking like his father but vocally resembling his father's greatest collaborator, James McCartney faces the same uphill battle waged by Julian and Sean Lennon, Frank Sinatra Jr. and other children of music icons: how to assert a singular identity with a historic last name. In the past two years, McCartney released two EPs, “Available Light” and “Close At Hand,” produced by Paul McCartney and the elder Macca's frequent producer, David Kahne. “The Complete EP Collection” brings the two discs together with bonus material, showcasing a slight debut and a much-improved follow-up.
