Musicians add jazz to June in Norman

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band from New Orleans will close out the 30th annual Jazz in June festival Saturday in Andrews Park.

Thousands of music fans converged on Brookhaven Village for opening night performances of the 30th annual Jazz in June festival.

Parker Millsap and the Duke Robillard Band entertained the crowd Thursday. The festival continued Friday with A Taste of Herb, followed by Fareed Haque and Math Games!

The free festival will continue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with “Clinics with the Artists” at the Performing Arts Studio, 200 S Jones Ave.

The headliner event, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, from New Orleans, will take the stage at 9 p.m. Saturday at Andrews Park, 201 W Daws St. Beginning at 6 p.m., The Paseo Street Walkers and The Justin Echols Jazz Trio will warm up the crowd before The Dirty Dozen Brass Band performs.
