COUNCIL HILL – Midway Public Schools are under lockdown Monday until a student who reportedly ran away from home is found, a school official said.

Randy Shaw, pre-kindergarten through high school principal, said Midway Public School officials and Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office officials made the decision after the student was reported missing.

"There’s been no threat to the school or students," Shaw said. "It’s just a precautionary measure. We’re going to be in this situation until we are advised by Muskogee County deputies."
