Muskogee schools Superintendent Mike Garde has been hired for three more years with a 6 percent pay raise. The Muskogee School Board voted this week to approve Garde’s new employment contract.
Carla Cooper, executive secretary for Garde, said Garde’s new salary is $130,000 per year, up from $123,750. The board also agreed to pay Garde’s membership in a Muskogee Rotary Club and to provide a late-model vehicle for school district functions. The school board’s vote was unanimous.
