MUSKOGEE — A jury in Muskogee County has convicted a 31-year-old woman of solicitation of first-degree murder for attempting to arrange the killing of her ex-boyfriend.

The jury deliberated about an hour Tuesday before convicting Kenna Lee Morrison. Prosecutors allege that Morrison recruited three others in a plot to kill her ex-boyfriend, who was not harmed.

A local newspaper reports that jurors were unable to agree on a recommended sentence for Morrison. District Judge Mike Norman said he will determine Morrison’s sentence after a presentence investigation is completed.

Prosecutors alleged that Morrison asked three others to kill her ex-boyfriend because he had kicked her out of the home they shared. Morrison told authorities that no such plot existed.
