— Caddo Electric's Round Up Foundation has presented a grant to the Mustang Public Library.

The $3,000 grant will help fund the library's summer reading program. Friends of the Library President Brett Jones said the program encourages use of the library by students.

“Reading is the most important skill a child can possess,” Jones said. “If a child is able to read, he or she is more successful at school. That is what it is all about. We want our community children to learn and grow and to be thriving, prosperous adults.”

The Mustang Public Library will issue its summer reading program event calendars in May. The calendars are distributed to Mustang schools students. They also can be viewed at mustanglibrary.org. For more information call 376-2226.
