Mustang's Bronson Irwin adjusting to life as an early OU enrollee

"Not a lot of free time, but we're having fun and getting work done."

As a family, the Irwins had their concerns about Bronson enrolling at OU early, with the potential for missing out on activities like prom and other rites of high school passage.

"We talked about those things, how you only have one senior year," said his mother, Stacy Irwin. "I didn't want him to look back someday and regret it.

"He can still come back for prom and he can walk with his graduating class. And he had some valid points about what he would be gaining, not just in football but an extra semester of college. There really were a lot of positives."
