MUSTANG — Waking up Wednesday morning, David Glidden had a different feeling.

It was reality.

A longtime Oklahoma State fan, the Mustang receiver had been committed to the Cowboys for nearly a year, but on Wednesday morning, he could finally sign the papers and make it official.

“It was definitely a reality check now that it's set in stone and I'm a Cowboy,” he said. “Before, it was like, ‘you're talking the talk,' but now, you're walking the walk. It feels good.”

Glidden, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound PARADE All-American, accounted for 1,244 yards and 17 receiving touchdowns, along with returning four of his six interceptions for TDs and four kickoffs for scores.

Now he's ready to be an impact player in the Cowboys' passing offense, along with his future roommate, Josh Stewart of Denton (Texas) Guyer.

“I met Josh on an official visit,” Glidden said. “Now I feel like I've known him forever. He's a funny kid, and we're a lot alike, so we get along well.”

Glidden hasn't finalized his plans for the summer but is anxious to get on campus.

“I'll either move up there the first of June or the first of July,” he said. “Either one will work out. I'm ready to get started with some classes and lifting and workouts. I'm just ready for it all now.”
