NAIA says Rodriguez can keep Thunder half-court shot money

Cameron Rodriguez scored a big-time victory on Tuesday.

An exception was granted to the Southwestern College (Kan.) basketball player to keep his winnings from making a half-court shot at a Thunder game. Rodriguez will be able to use the $20,000 he netted as scholarship funds.

From the NAIA: The decision to use the money as a scholarship was a joint recommendation by Rodriguez and the Southwestern College athletic department, which was supported by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
