Here's a timeline of The Oklahoman sports staff's coverage plans for National Signing Day on Wednesday and each reporter's Twitter link so you can follow along:

Interior offensive lineman Jonathan Alvarez (6-3, 300) will sign with Oklahoma after committing to the Sooners in early September. Alvarez's high school coach, Mike Overton, said the Sooners are getting a steal. “There's a lot of people that missed the boat on him. I guarantee that. There's a ton.”

8:30 A.M.: NORMAN

OU and OSU scored some potentially valuable walk-ons at the Norman schools, which will hold their ceremonies simultaneously. From Norman High, All-State defensive end Cade Parker is headed to OU, while another All-Stater, kicker Matt Hockett, is bound for Stillwater. Norman North All-State receiver Nick Basquine will walk on at OU as well. Norman North's Payton Prince is signing with Tulsa, and quarterback David Cornwell is already on campus at Alabama.

Defensive end Jordan Brailford will sign with Oklahoma State. An explosive player off the edge with great hands, Brailford is a late riser during the recruiting process. He earned a fourth star from ESPN after a monster performance in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. Guthrie's state championship stars Kai Callins (Emporia State) and Trevor Blassingame (UCO) will sign as well.

The Sooners doubled up at Union, where they'll sign 6-foot-5 wide receiver Jeffery Mead and 6-6 tight end Carson Meier. Meier committed to the Sooners first, in late May. A month later, Mead pulled the trigger. Edmond Memorial offensive lineman Jordan Weltzheimer is headed to Air Force. At Edmond North, All-State kicker Trevor Moore will sign with North Texas, while running back Lindell Tate has chosen to walk on at OU.
