This week is dedicated to encouraging women to visit their health care professionals to receive or schedule checkups and to promote routine exams. Why not give yourself the best chance possible for a happy and healthy lifestyle? Keeping up with regular exams can provide early detection for the following conditions:

Heart disease, breast disease, reproductive disease, diabetes, skin problems, mental health issues, cancer and other conditions.

The nationwide effort is coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health.
