Native American events planned in metro

The Metropolitan Library System will celebrate Native American culture with a festival and Fancy Dancers Tour during October.

The Native American Festival will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Downtown Library, 300 Park Ave. The festival will have dancers, food, crafts and entertainment. The festival and dance performances are free. Dancers are all enrolled tribal members.

• 1 p.m. Oct. 7, Southern Oaks Library


• 1 p.m. Oct. 8, The Village Library


• 7 p.m. Oct. 8, Belle Isle Library


• 10:30 a.m. Oct. 9, Del City Library
