— Children 3 and older can catch small aquatic wildlife in a net on Saturday at Lake Thunderbird.

Naturalist Kathy Furneaux will lead “Shoreline Seining” at 3 p.m. The expedition will begin at the Discovery Cove Nature Center, which is off State Highway 9 on Clear Bay Boulevard.

Participants need to wear swimsuits or “submersible” clothing, including swim shoes or old sneakers. Children 12 and younger must wear life vests. Children 5 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. A limited number of life vests will be available.

Other activities at the nature center Saturday will include a discussion on Oklahoma insects at 10 a.m. and an “insect bookmark” craft project at 1:30 p.m. for children 3 and older.
