NBA Draft: The draft's great eight

Eight key players who could influence the NBA Draft:

→Ricky Rubio: Once considered a lock to be the No. 2 selection, Rubio could fall to No. 4. Sacramento even has some questions about the 18-year-old Spaniard but would take him. Will some team (Minnesota?) trade up to grab him?

→Stephen Curry: Last month, most felt Curry would be available at No. 8 to go to the Knicks, which is where he wants to play. A straw poll of general managers ranked Curry the No. 2 point guard in the draft. Oklahoma City, Washington and Golden State are believed to be big Curry fans. He could go in the top five.

→Jordan Hill: An extremely athletic power forward, Hill is one of the biggest mysteries in the draft. After averaging a double-double last season at Arizona, Hill could go as high as No. 5 or drop down to No. 8.

→Jonny Flynn: Few players’ stock has risen as much as Flynn’s the past month. The lightning-quick Syracuse point guard was ranked the No. 1 point guard in this draft by a couple of general managers, ahead of Rubio and Curry.

→Brandon Jennings: A couple of months ago, Jennings was thought to be a lock for the lottery.
