Three trades the Thunder could explore in Thursday night's NBA Draft.

TRADE UP WITH ORLANDO

What the Thunder would get: The No. 2 overall pick.

What the Thunder would give: The No. 12, 29 and 32 picks this year and a future first-round selection originally owned by Dallas.

Why it could happen: The Magic aren't sold on a player at No. 2. Making this deal allows general manager Rob Hennigan, who learned under Thunder GM Sam Presti, to stockpile assets as his rebuilding efforts continue in Orlando. Meanwhile, the Thunder wouldn't have to part with any of its current prospects.

Why it wouldn't happen: That's a haul for the Magic, and it leaves the Thunder without any future assets to continue improving the team. Is Alex Len or Victor Oladipo really worth mortgaging your future?

TRADE UP WITH CHARLOTTE

What the Thunder would get: The No. 4 overall pick.

What the Thunder would give: The No. 12, 29 and 32 picks and possibly a future second-round pick and cash.

Why it could happen: The Bobcats also are shopping their top pick. In return, they want a veteran player or additional draft picks. OKC can't offer the former without breaking up its championship-caliber nucleus. But it can offer plenty of the latter, the best of which would be this year's No. 12 overall pick. With that selection, the Bobcats could see one of their top targets, Indiana's Cody Zeller, fall into their lap.
