The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat have arrived at the same place — the NBA Finals — but they got there in very different ways. Here's a look at how the teams were built:


Free Agents

* Shane Battier: Signed in December 2011 after a 10-year NBA career with Memphis and Houston.

* Chris Bosh: Signed in July 2010 after a seven-year NBA career with Toronto.

* Eddy Curry: Signed in December 2010 after a 10-year NBA career with Chicago, New York and Minnesota.

* Juwan Howard: Signed in July 2010 after 16 NBA seasons with nine other franchises.

* LeBron James: Signed in July 2010 after a seven-year NBA career with Cleveland.

* James Jones: Signed in July 2008 after five NBA seasons with Indiana, Phoenix and Portland.

* Mike Miller: Signed in July 2010 after 10 NBA seasons with Orlando, Memphis, Minnesota and Washington.

* Rony Turiaf: Signed in March 2012, after 51/2 NBA seasons with the Lakers, Golden State, New York and Washington.


* Mario Chalmers: Obtained June 2008 from Minnesota for cash and two second-round draft picks.

* Norris Cole: Obtained June 2011 from Minnesota with cash and a second-round draft pick for Bojan Bogdanovic.

Undrafted Free Agents

* Joel Anthony: Signed in July 2007 after college career at Nevada-Las Vegas.
