Thunder guard Derek Fisher has said this will be his last season in the NBA, and USA Today's NBA insider Sam Amick says Fisher could have a future in the the Knicks' front office.
The New York Knicks recently brought in Phil Jackson as their new president, and Fisher and Jackson go back way back. The two were a part of five titles with the Los Angeles Lakers as player and coach.
It remains to be seen what Jackson will do with the Knicks' front office.
"Eventually, he'll bring in some of his own people. One of those names you should not be surprised to hear eventually (is) Derek Fisher," Amick said. "Phil referred to Derek as a natural leader with a lot of emotional intelligence and finely tuned management skills."
Fisher has already announced this will be his final season, but some Thunder players have discussed trying to convince the 18-year veteran to stick around for another season. See this story on www.usatoday.com
