RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A faculty member at Johnston Community College in Smithfield is the winner of a new Porsche, courtesy of an N.C. Museum of Art raffle.

The museum said in a news release Monday that Bill Gregory Jr. won the red 2014 Porsche Cayman. The museum sold 2,500 tickets at $100 each.

Gregory's name was electronically chosen at random by an accounting firm. The college's website says Gregory is coordinator of the school's Frank Creech Art Gallery.

The museum said the raffle was so successful that it's selling tickets to win another Porsche. The museum will sell 2,000 tickets at $100 each to win a sapphire blue metallic 2014 Boxster S.

The raffles are being held in conjunction with the museum's Porsche by Design exhibition, which closes Jan. 20. Proceeds support museum exhibitions and programming.
