NC Executive Mansion open for Christmas tours

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The home to North Carolina's governors is opening its doors to the public for the Christmas season.

Visitors are invited to the Executive Mansion beginning Thursday at noon and continuing throughout the weekend.

People who take the tour will get to see decorations and enjoy seasonal musical entertainment by local performers.

The first floor of the mansion will be decorated with Christmas trees grows in the state, floral and mixed evergreen arrangements, a gingerbread hose and mantle displays.

The Executive Mansion has been occupied by the families of 29 governors.
