Neb. cancer fundraiser will feature Lonestar

PAXTON, Neb. (AP) — Next year's Cattlemen's Ball cancer fundraiser will feature country music stars Lonestar.

Lonestar is probably best known for its hit song "Amazed" but the group has been performing for 20 years. It has sold more than 20 million albums, and ten of its songs have hit number one on the country charts.

The 2013 Cattlemen's Ball is scheduled for June 7-8 at the Hanging H Ranch between Paxton and Sutherland.

The 2012 Cattlemen's Ball raised more than $1.4 million for cancer research in the state. Since the annual event began in 1998, more than $7.61 million has been raised.
