Another Big 12 road game.

Another loss for Oklahoma State.

And another blow to the Cowboys' NCAA Tournament hopes.

Getting little production from anyone other than Marshall Moses and Keiton Page, OSU dropped to 0-5 in conference road games, falling 65-54 Saturday at Nebraska.

The Huskers, one of several teams the Cowboys find themselves competing with for the Big 12's final NCAA bids, improved to 4-6 in league play and 16-8 overall, matching OSU in both categories.

“We played very poorly,” said Cowboys coach Travis Ford. “One of our poorer performances overall.”

The Cowboys desperately seek a minimum of one road win in an attempt to get to at least 8-8, having surrendered a game at home to Texas. And nothing about the upcoming schedule – at Texas Wednesday, home against Texas A&M Saturday and at Kansas on Feb. 21 – looks easy.

“We need to improve very, very quickly,” Ford said.

Moses scored a game-high 18 points, his most in league play this season, and Page added 14. But no other Cowboys managed more than six on a night when the team shot just 36 percent (18-of-50) from the floor.

“You can't shoot 36 percent on the road and expect to win,” Ford said.
