Neighborhood celebration in Norman draws crowd

About 300 people participated in activities sponsored by the Center for Children and Families at the annual “I Love My Neighborhood” block party in Norman.

— About 300 people enjoyed free hot dogs, met members of the University of Oklahoma men's basketball team, played games and participated in other activities during the 13th annual “I Love My Neighborhood” block party hosted by the Center for Children and Families.

The Saturday block party was designed to promote relationships between residents and local organizations. The Center for Children and Families sponsors a Neighborhood Centers program that offers out-of-school and summer enrichment activities and youth mentoring at Kennedy and Wilson elementary schools.
