Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman, who work together on CBS’ “College Football Today” studio show, will broadcast the game. Tillman is a former OU running back. Former OU quarterback Paul Thompson and FSN Southwest’s Emily Jones will be the sideline reporters.

KWTV-9 sports director Dean Blevins will host the pay-per-view telecast from Norman. A one-hour pregame show will commemorate coach Bob Stoops’ 10th season at Oklahoma. Blevins, a former OU quarterback, will interview former Sooner players and celebrities in attendance about Stoops' impact Stoops on the OU program.

The 6 p.m. game will be produced by Big 12 Special Order Sports, FSN Southwest’s pay-per-view division for a suggested price of $29.95. The telecast will be available on participating cable systems in Oklahoma and Texas and nationwide to satellite customers. A list of participating programming providers carrying the PPV game will be announced later.

The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it wasn’t selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable TV coverage.

FAN Southwest (Cox 37) also will replay the game in a one-hour format at 11 a.m. Sept. 2 as part of its new “Big 12 No Huddle” series, which will feature condensed telecasts of Big 12 games.

I'm with you 100% about Dean Blevins. The man is way too full of himself.

Did anyone notice during the Fiesta Bowl..Two WVU players were sitting side by side...one named dingle and next to him... berry! Now that's funny!

I may be the only one, and will probably get hammered for this comment, but I am sick of Dean Blevins. I love OU football but he's such a homer and know-it-all it's sickening.
Dingle, Berry - Aug 15, 2008 at 11:53 am
...and OSU football is like a bad hangover. When you wake up in the morning, you feel sick and you realize you've woken up next to someone (or something) you shouldn't have.

biklk in Elk City. You are only partially correct. The OU/TX game has frequently been a regional telecast. Matt may not have been able to see it in Nebraska. I live in Florida and there have been years that without DirecTV, I would not have been able to watch the OU/TX game and many others. I'll pay $30 to watch it because I would rather watch it at home than go to a bar and pay more than $30 for food and beer or tea which costs more than beer. $30 is also less than I would spend to go to the game in person. There are expenses in addition to just the cost of the ticket. Also, even when games are shown locally, if it's a blowout (OU 63 TX 13) they switch to another game. Personally, I like watching a blowout as well, especially when UT is the other team.

I know OU will most likely win in a blow out but I don't care I will galdly pay $30 just to watch OU cream somebody and BOOMER SOONER GO OU!!!
Andrew, Bethany - Aug 14, 2008 at 10:42 pm
Guess OU football is like heroin. You just gotta have your fix, even if it costs $30.00 or so. LOL

This is just another way for the University Of Oklahoma to nickle and dime the football fan to death.
randy, norman - Aug 14, 2008 at 4:07 pm
Matt in Moore. You are in correct. There was never a year under Blake that no game was televised. The OU/TX has been televised every year for God knows how long. 96 & 97 the OU/Neb games were televised a couple of A&M games, K State I believe so.....you're wrong.
biklk, elk city - Aug 14, 2008 at 4:06 pm
Matt: No matter how closely and carefully we try and listen to Bob Barry, we still wouldn't know what the heck is going on. They need to replace him with Mark Rogers.
Allen, Oklahoma City - Aug 14, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Time for the annual, NO; I will not spend money for Chattanooga......oh man, operator can I get the OU game!

I hate to be the spoiler but OU beats UT Chattanooga. Is it really worth paying $30 to watch a blow out? Pay-per-Snooze?
Brett, Oklahoma City - Aug 14, 2008 at 3:47 pm
Man, how spoiled we have become with so many channels. I lived in Nebraska during the Blake years. One year, not ONE OU game was televised! Dont get me wrong, I love to see them all. I usually just got to Bufalo Wild Wings or go in with a bunch of friends to get it. Also, it will probably be rerun on tv sometime the next week. You could listen (very closely and carefully) to Bob Barry and watch it a few days later.

Allen, go to the game and you will be able to pick up tickets for less than the $30 you would pay to watch it on TV.
