Assistant Entertainment Editor George Lang chatted with readers Wednesday about movies, upcoming concerts and restaurants. Below is an unedited transcript of the chat.

George Lang 11:30 a.m. Hey everyone -- welcome to the entertainment chat. I'm George Lang, senior entertainment writer. Want to talk music? Movies? Christmas stuff? It's all on the table.
Guest 11:30 a.m. The next upcoming artist coming to oklahoma for a concert
George Lang 11:33 a.m. Okay, well there's a few big ones. If you're lucky, you've got tickets to Brian Setzer Orchestra's Christmas concert at Hard Rock Casino up in Tulsa/Catoosa. I've heard nothing but amazing things about his Christmas shows, but it's sold out. More locally, there's the Cage The Elephant show at Diamond Ballroom on Saturday, and on Wednesday next week, we've got Jay-Z at the Chesapeake. I'm still waiting to see if I'm getting to review that one.
Leah 11:33 a.m. anymore concerts in oklahoma?
George Lang 11:39 a.m. Yes, there are two really cool shows on Friday with a Christmas bent to them. In Norman, there's the Blackwatch/Fowler Christmas party at Stash, a venue just east of Porter on Main. Some great acts are playing that night, including Beau Jennings, Empty Bottles, the Wurly Birds and ADDverse Effects. That's free.

Also, the Colourmusic Spectacular Christmas Band is playing an extended set at the 51st Street Speakeasy, playing music from the new Colourmusic Christmas album. Lots of great locals sitting in on that one.

Also, Trans Siberian Orchestra is coming to Chesapeake Energy Arena on Dec. 21, doing its big Christmas extravaganza.
Chris 11:39 a.m. Anchorman 2 or The Hobbit?
George Lang 11:41 a.m. That's kind of a "scotchy scotchy Scotch" vs. "pipe-weed" question. I've seen "Hobbit" and am waiting patiently to see the Burgundy epic.
George Lang 11:44 a.m. "Hobbit" is a solid movie, even though you can feel the stretching that's involved in making three movies out of a 300-page book. It depends on how much of a purist you are. Peter Jackson raids the "Silmarillion" a little here, invents a character there, brings in references to Sauron, pulls in a certain wood elf to provide linkage to "Lord of the Rings." But man, that barrel ride to Lake Town. It's pretty amazing.
Steph 11:45 a.m. I have three children, ages 8, 12 and 16. I would like to do something fun as a family this weekend. Any suggestions?
George Lang 11:47 a.m. Okay, I think I have just the thing. The Boathouse District on the Oklahoma River is doing a big holiday event with inflatables, zipline rides and rock wall climbing from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. It might be a little chilly out there, but this sounds like a blast. I would check that out in a big way.
Guest 11:47 a.m. Best new restaurant in OKC?
George Lang 11:53 a.m. There's always new stuff opening, but two of them are pretty special and local -- Empire Slice House and Waffle Champion. Empire Slice is in Plaza District and seems to be inventing new flavor combinations all the time. Waffle Champion does both sweet and savory, and is really expanding what waffles can hold or taste like. Great stuff. Are they the best new restaurants in OKC? That's hard to say, because I'm discovering new places all the time, but those seem to be getting people excited in the same way that places like Big Truck and Mutt's have in recent years.
George Lang 11:55 a.m. On that same front, I'm really happy with the expansion of local burger places like S&B, Garage, Tuckers, Hot Dog OKC. It's a good time to be consuming in this town.
George Lang 11:56 a.m. Thanks everyone for your questions! If you want to ask me anything else, feel free to email at glang@opubco.com, or follow me on Twitter at @GeorgeDLang
