— An Albuquerque, N.M., man died in an Oklahoma Panhandle crash, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Kasey L. Higgins, 19, died Thursday in an Amarillo, Texas, hospital from injuries suffered in a crash about 10 p.m. Wednesday near Texhoma in Texas County.

The wreck involved a tractor-trailer rig driven by Bryan Roberson, 47, of Stephenville, Texas. Roberson was not injured.

Troopers said Higgins was westbound on U.S. 54 when his SUV went left of center and hit the tractor-trailer on the driver's side. He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. Roberson wore a seat belt, troopers said.
