Q&A with Mike Crandall
New state association focuses
on helping businesses grow sales
Q: What is the OKPSA?
A: The Oklahoma Professional Sales Association is a fairly new association for business owners, executives and leaders. It’s designed to allow those committed to growing their business the opportunity to network, collaborate, engage, share and learn from each other. We have monthly lunch events where people can network and listen to a successful business leader share a unique sales story.
Q: Why did you start the association?
A: As a consultant focused on sales, management and leadership development, I spend most of my time with chief executives of medium and small businesses. Numerous execs have mentioned the need for an organization focused on sales professionals. Organizations such as the Oklahoma Chiropractors Association, Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association and others serve important business niches, but none have a true focus on sales and revenue development like OKPSA. The No. 1 reason businesses struggle or fail is money, and money comes from sales.
Q: Who should know about the OKPSA?
A: Business owners, chief executives, executives and sales professionals making $100,000 or more annually, and nonprofit execs who want to network with those who share a passion for business growth.
Q: How does someone get involved with the association?
A: Visit our website www.okpsa.org and sign up for our newsletter, connect with us on social media (the links are on our website), or attend a luncheon. They’re held on the the third Wednesday of each month. The next one is 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
