ESPN2 is hoping to take fan interaction to a new level with the debut of "SportsNation” at 3 p.m. Monday. Co-hosted by ESPN Radio veteran Colin Cowherd and ESPN newcomer Michelle Beadle, the show will solicit fans’ comments through a variety of media — Twitter, Facebook, Web site, e-mail, voice mail and phone calls — to set the show’s agenda. "We think it is different from anything ESPN has put on before,” producer Jamie Horowitz said. "We want this show to be the show that the fans produce. If they are tired of too much Brett Favre talk, then we won’t talk Brett Favre.” Cowherd is confident he will interact well with Beadle, formerly of the YES network in New York. "You want people you can poke in the ribs and they can poke you back,” he said. "Michelle is so engaging and so bright, everything just rolls off her.”
A few of Colin Cowherd’s college football predictions: →National championship: Florida vs. Texas. I think Texas has a real chip on their shoulder because they didn’t even get to play for the national championship. That will be big motivator. I think Colt McCoy is absolutely amazing. Most fun guy to watch. →Sleepers: Oklahoma State and Ole Miss. Oklahoma State has really good coaches and a really clever offense in a weak defensive conference. →Most improved: Notre Dame won’t be great, but because of their schedule and they return all of their offense, they should win 10 games. They have a chance to make a BCS bowl.
