The Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth will launch Samurai, Armor from the Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection on February 16. Armor dating back from the 12th- through 19th-century Japan will be on view in the Renzo Piano Pavilion, marking its first traveling exhibit. Among the works included will be 20 full suits of armor, 3 life-size horses clad in armor to demonstrate the pageantry of samurai and their mounts in battle and an impressive array of helmets and masks.
