Newborn's body found in southeast Oklahoma City

About 8 a.m. Saturday, Oklahoma City police were called to a house at 15609 S Air Depot where a person, who was house-sitting for the owner, told police the family dog had brought a dead baby's body in from a nearby field.

The body of a newborn baby boy was found Saturday morning on the south side of Oklahoma City.

About 8 a.m., Oklahoma City police were called to a house at 15609 S Air Depot where a person, who was house-sitting for the owner, told police the family dog had brought a dead baby's body in from a nearby field.

The dog was known to roam around a large area surrounding the property, so police used a K-9 unit and air support to try to locate where the dog found the body, police Lt. Dan Holland said.

No other information about the mother or the baby was available Saturday.
