NEWCASTLE, England (AP) — Papiss Cisse scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time for Newcastle to beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Palace, at risk of relegation, looked like leaving St. James' Park with a point thanks to goalkeeper Julian Speroni.

But Cisse, denied three times previously by Speroni, headed in replacement Hatem Ben Arfa's cross.

It was only Cisse's fourth goal of the season, and first since Jan. 4. He and Luuk d Jong, yet to score since he arrived on loan from Borussia Moenchengladbach, are Newcastle's underpowered strike force in the absence of the injured Loic Remy.
