OSU finds a pass rushNews: Oklahoma State recorded a season-high five sacks against Baylor. Getting pressure on quarterbacks has been one of the Cowboys' biggest shortcomings all season. View: Defensive coordinator Tim Beckman said too much blame is placed on the secondary that has been scorched numerous times this season. "Pass defense is not just four guys or the back seven,” Beckman said. "It's all of us. Just like rush defense is. We have to create pressure. Tonight we had the front four do it.”
Ground game rollingNews: The Cowboys rushed for 343 yards. They're ranked among the top five rushing teams in the country. Dantrell Savage rushed for more than 100 yards for the eighth consecutive game. Zac Robinson rushed for more than 100 yards for the third time this season. View: Because offensive coordinator Larry Fedora's spread offense sometimes uses four and five wide receiver sets, there's a misconception it's an offense that passes first and runs second. That's not true. OSU's ground game actually sets up the passing game. That's been even more accurate since Robinson has added a new dimension on the zone read option play.
Guy Morriss out?News: Rumors are Guy Morriss coached his final game at Baylor Saturday night. View: "It was a distraction,” Morriss said. "The kids are hearing it every day. And the coaches are hearing it. You have to put that aside and focus on the last two games. You can't control that. But you can control what you do.” Linebacker Nick Moore said: "It's going to be hard next year if we get new coaches. Whether we do or not, our team has to believe in what coaches are telling us and work hard in the off-season.” By Mike Baldwin
