NewsOK.com and The Oklahoman have won a second Emmy, winning in the “Audio” category at the 28th annual Heartland Regional Emmy Awards on Saturday night.

The win was for the video “Broken Beyond Repair.” The video features world-renowned violinist Kyle Dillingham as he performs “How Great Thou Art” in an abandoned warehouse in downtown Oklahoma City. He performs on several broken instruments to highlight the message: in our own brokenness there is beauty.

The video accompanied The Oklahoman’s Thanksgiving centerpiece in 2013.

NewsOK.com and The Oklahoman previously won an Emmy last year for “Thunder In Motion” in the “Commercial — Single Spot” category.

NewsOK.com and The Oklahoman have received five Emmy nominations since launching a video department in 2007.

The Heartland chapter includes these markets: Denver, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Wichita/Hutchinson, Omaha, Colorado Springs/Pueblo, Lincoln/Hastings-Kearney, Topeka, Grand Junction/Montrose, Cheyenne/Scottsbluff and North Platte.
