SCHOOL TESTING GLITCH

The server crashes that affected about 3,000 state exams this week will affect students and administrators in three major ways:

• Scores will count for students who stayed in the test room and were able to log back in and finish their tests.

• Students who stayed in the test room but weren't able to log back in will have to retake the exams.

• Exams for students who left the test room — even if they returned and completed the exam later — will be invalidated.
