NFL Draft: Players with Oklahoma ties who could be drafted this weekend

Published: April 26, 2008

in the 40, 33-inch vertical

Projection: 7th round or free agent

Upside: Scouts say he showed excellent effort and upper body flexibility to block DEs or LBs on the run. A very good receiver who runs precise routs and doesn't drop many balls. Good effort and open-field tackling ability on special teams.

Marcus Henry
Okie connection: From Lawton, played at Lawton Ike

College: Kansas

Position: Wide receiver

Stats: 54 catches for 1,014 yards in 2007.

Ht./Wt.: 6-4, 207

Combine/pro day snapshot: 4.55 in the 40, 38-inch vertical

Projection: 7th round or free agent

Upside: Henry (at left) has long arms, leaping ability and the timing to compete for balls at the next level. Scouts say he has the body frame to add about 10 pounds that could help him against more physical DBs in NFL.

Brandon Keith
Okie connection: McAlester grad/Former OU player

College: Northern Iowa

Position: Offensive tackle

Stats: 71 knockdowns, allowed just four sacks in 322 pass plays.

Ht./Wt.: 6-4, 342

Combine/pro day snapshot: 31 reps of 225 pounds.

Projection: Fourth or fifth round

Upside: Stock rose during postseason all-star games, most notably the Texas vs. The Nation Games. Scouts were impressed by his quickness, considering he's pushing 350 pounds.

Felix Jones
Okie connection: Tulsa Washington grad

College: Arkansas

Position: Running back

Stats: 1,168 yards, 6 TDs.

Ht./Wt.: 6-0, 207

Combine/pro day snapshot: 4.44 in the 40; 33 1/2-inch vertical

Projection: First or second round

Upside: Teammate Darren McFadden may be best RB in the draft, but Jones has moved into first-round consideration because of his combination of speed and power. Speculation has him going to Dallas in the first round.

Lorenzo Williams
Okie connection: Midwest City grad

College: Missouri

Position: Defensive tackle

Stats: 53 total tackles, six sacks

Ht./Wt.: 6-1, 295

Combine/pro day snapshot: 29 reps of 225 pounds.

Projection: Sixth round or later

Upside: Williams didn't get a combine invitation, so he had to make an impression when the pros came to OU. A His size is a concern.
