choice overall and said quarterback Sam Bradford also should go early, perhaps to the Washington Redskins at No. 4.

Mayock gives McCoy the edge over Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh because he believes McCoy will be a better pass rusher in the pass-happy NFL.

"I think McCoy is more disruptive in the pass game, and he is still good against the run. He is not as stout as Suh, but he is still good against the run.”

He said his few misgivings about Bradford involve his injured right shoulder and how well he will handle pressure in the NFL.

"I do think Bradford is a franchise quarterback with a caveat that he does have to check out medically,” he said. "I need to see him get hit more. I need to see him be under some duress, because two years ago for the most part, he stood in the pocket that was beautiful, with no one around him, and played pitch and catch and put up 60 points a game.”

Other state players expected to go in the first round include offensive tackles Russell Okung of OSU and Trent Williams of OU and tight end Jermaine Gresham of OU.
