STALLWORTH SUSPENDEDCleveland Browns receiver Donte Stallworth, who pleaded guilty to killing a pedestrian while driving drunk, was suspended without pay for the entire season by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Stallworth is barred from team activities until he is reinstated after the Super Bowl. Stallworth struck 59-year-old crane operator Mario Reyes the morning of March 14 in Miami. He pleaded guilty June 16 to DUI manslaughter, a second-degree felony, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. Stallworth was released after 24 days. He also is under house arrest for two years.
T.O. OUT UNTIL NEXT WEEKReceiver Terrell Owens expects to return to practice next week, meaning he’ll likely miss the Buffalo Bills’ home preseason game against Chicago this weekend because of a sprained toe. FROM WIRE REPORTS
