On Thursday at SEC Media Days, Alabama coach Nick Saban denied having any conversation with the University of Texas about its head coaching job.

But Austin American-Statesman writer Kirk Bohls said he doesn't believe a word he said.

According to an excerpt from radio personality Paul Finebaum's recently released book, Texas was trying to lure Saban to Austin with a $100 million package. Saban denied that, and didn't take a follow-up question about whether or not his agent handled negotiations.

“I didn’t have any conversations with them,” Saban said of Texas officials. “Nobody offered me anything. So, I guess if I didn’t have any conversations with them, I didn’t have very much interest.”

Bohls is skeptical.
