No one held accountable

We finally got to hear Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's take on the Benghazi tragedy of Sept. 11, 2012. The original congressional hearings were conducted on Oct. 10 and she called in sick. This allowed her to preview the questions and to prepare and rehearse her responses.

These hearings were ridiculous. The Democrats heaped praise on Clinton for the job she's done over the past four years. Their softball questions mainly asked her how they could've helped her to do a better job. The Republicans tried to question her about the administration's responses to this terrible loss of four lives, including an ambassador — the first since Jimmy Carter was president.

The only question that really needed an answer was asked by Clinton herself when she emotionally asked what difference it makes how the four died!

The whole purpose of these hearings was to answer how these people died and how to prevent a recurrence. To do this, an honest and accurate assessment needed to be done as soon as possible. For reasons only known by President Obama and Clinton, this didn't happen. It appears we'll never know how this tragedy happened and why the truth was delayed. Obama wasn't held accountable and it will be 2016 before we see if Hillary will be held accountable.
